Please mark your calendar to be part of this inspiring midwinter event! 01/28/2009 Politics, Power & Jewish Women There will be a one-day training program, Jan. 28, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., at the Alex Aidekman Jewish Community Campus, 901 Route 10 East, Whippany. Run by the Center for American Women and Politics of the Eagleton Institute of Politics, Rutgers, this training is for Jewish women who want to become more involved in the political process by running for office, working on a campaign, getting appointed to a political post, or becoming better informed about the political process. Our Section is a co-sponsor of this event. 2/07/2009 Midwinter Theater Party: Dazzling Extravaganza: Cirque Le Masque You won’t believe your eyes as the artists of Cirque Le Masque (www.cirquelemasque.com) leap, spin, climb, balance and juggle. And you’ll enjoy all the dramatic, death-defying, midair acts of superhuman strength with your friends from NCJW, West Morris, on Saturday evening, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m., when members of this sophisticated, European-style circus troupe present a melange of dance, mime, and acrobatics, complemented by lavish costumes and dazzling special effects, at the Community Theatre, 100 South St., in Morristown. A dessert reception at a member’s home will follow. Tickets for this fund-raiser are $50 a person (basic); $65 a person (sponsor); and $75 a person (patron). Checks, made payable to NCJW, West Morris, must be received by Jan. 10.
